Medium: My First Post

While I love Blogger for short articles, reviews, and posting my photos, I recently discovered Medium, which is a great platform to publish your long form pieces.  It's also a great place to read some fantastic journalism, especially the stuff from Matter (originally a Kickstarter project to support quality long form journalism).

I posted my first article, a piece on immigration reform, informed by my recent experiences with a friend who is a DACA recipient.

HBO Documentary Film Manhunt Review

My next review over at The Stairs is of former war correspondent Greg Barker's HBO Documentary Film Manhunt about the search for Osama bin Laden.  Good film, must see, airs tomorrow (Wed., May 1, 2013) on HBO.

We Dream Together Teaser

See below for the teaser for our short film "We Dream Together," about a young woman who came to the United States as a child but has no legal immigration status. She is applying for the DACA, which would grant her regular status for two years, but the DREAM Act would offer a long term solution to young Americans like her. We are working hard to finish the film before the upcoming election.
